Watch Buying FAQ

What do the condition grades mean?

Our listings use condition scores out of 10 alongside a written description. For example, watches rated 8.5/10 have been described as very good or excellent pre-owned condition with light or minimal signs of wear. Read the individual description for details of wear to the case, bezel and bracelet.

What is included, and what does “full set” mean?

In watch buying, “full set” generally refers to a watch accompanied by its original box and papers. Check the individual listing for the exact contents rather than assuming accessories are included. A box does not necessarily mean papers are supplied: for example, our Tissot Seastar listing specifies an original box and hangtag, with papers missing.

Which strap or bracelet is included?

Check the individual listing for strap or bracelet details and sizing information. For example, our Tissot Seastar listing specifies a new aftermarket leather strap, while our TAG Heuer Aquaracer WAF1112 listing describes a bracelet with removable links.

What is the difference between automatic, manual-wind and quartz movements?

Automatic movements are mechanical and wind through movement of the wearer’s wrist. Manual-wind mechanical movements require winding by hand. Quartz movements are typically battery-powered. Check the movement type stated in the individual listing and ask us if you need guidance for a particular watch.

Have the watches been serviced?

If we know the history or have had the watch serviced ourselves then this will be stated in the watch description. All watches are thoroughly inspected and tested before we list them. All watches listed are working and keeping time.

Can I ask about authenticity?

Please contact us before purchasing if you have questions about a watch’s authenticity, markings, paperwork or components. Check the listing for the accessories supplied and any stated aftermarket parts. Box or paperwork availability should not be treated as an authenticity guarantee.

How will my watch be delivered?

Check the delivery information in the individual listing. Our Tissot Seastar listing states that watches under £350 are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24. Our TAG Heuer Aquaracer WAF1112 listing specifies Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm for UK delivery, with dispatch within one business day. These are listing-specific details, not a delivery promise for every watch.

International shipping is available with costs calculated at checkout. The listings state that applicable customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility.

What is your returns window?

We offer a 28-day return window. Please contact us with your order details for help arranging a return.
